Rich German Potato Salad

Ingredients
- 3 lbs. potatoes, cooked, peeled and sliced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 c. white wine vinegar
- 1 c. mayonnaise
- 1 c. whipping cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Dill for garnish
- While potatoes are still warm, layer alternately with sliced onions in a large bowl.
- Add sugar to vinegar and pour over potato mixture and set aside for several hours, stirring frequently.
- Pour off vinegar not absorbed into potatoes.
- Blend together mayonnaise and cream and fold into potato mixture.
- Salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with dill. Serves 8.
